Organic avocadoes are available all year round in NZ and are picked to requirements. The Hass variety is the most popular and with NZ’s wide range of climatic conditions this variety is now available all year round. Reed avocadoes, the big round smooth skinned ones are also available late summer/autumn and Fuerte avocadoes during July and August. Both of these varieties are ready when the skin is a dull green not blackening like the Hass variety.
